This dynamic office is responsible for occupational health services and is located in Regina, Saskatchewan on the scenic and historic Depot grounds.  As the Psychologist, you will be responsible for the administration of a comprehensive occupational health psychology program for trainees and members of Depot of the RCMP.  This program will include: prevention, assessment, crisis intervention, clinical treatment services.  You will also be responsible for consultation upon request to senior management, the Divisional Staff Relations Representatives (DSRR), as well as the other professionals of Health Services, in matters of psychological health and some matters related to human behavior, interventions in response to work related critical incidents and the provision of psychological support to special operations.

We have an opportunity for an Acquired Brain Injury Clinical Team Leader– Sr

 

Job Duties: The ABI Clinical Team Leader is under the direct supervision of the Director of ABI and Mental Health Community Supports. The ABI Clinical Team Leader provides team leadership, and clinical supervision and support to the staff members of the Sask. North ABI Outreach Team, The ABI Independent Living Program and the ABI Education and Prevention Coordinator.

The Sask. North ABI Outreach Team is an interdisciplinary team of health service professionals who facilitate community reintegration for people with moderate to severe acquired brain injuries. This is accomplished by working in partnership with clients, their families and their communities throughout the geographic area covered by the Sask. North ABI Outreach Team (Athabasca Health Authority and Keewatin Yatthé, Mamawetan Churchill River, Kelsey Trail and Prince Albert Parkland Health Regions).

 

Qualification: Possess a Baccalaureate degree in one of the following disciplines: Social Work, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Recreation Therapy, Psychology

Must be currently licensed with a provincial association

Minimum two years demonstrated experience providing services to individuals with physical and mental challenges, particularly acquired brain injury with experience in leadership in community services and leadership / supervision of a team of staff

PSYCHOLOGIST III - MENTAL HEALTH

 

Permanent Full-Time

 

CENTRAL REGIONAL INTEGRATED HEALTH   AUTHORITY

 

(GANDER AREA)

Definition of Work: 

This leadership position will involve providing specialized neuropsychological assessment and intensive clinical interventions to individuals in an acute care and regional settings.  The incumbent will be expected to contribute to interdisciplinary team goals and objectives, research and evidence-based practice.  He/she will be responsible for providing clinical supervision, consultation in complex cases, to provide EFAP services, and provision of educational sessions to other professionals.

 

Qualifications:

The successful applicant must be registered in the province of Newfoundland and Labrador and must meet the following requirements: Hold a Ph.D in Psychology, have extensive (ie. minimum 5 years experience), current (i.e. within the past two years), and exemplary (clinical references) clinical practice in a mental health setting. Skills and abilities are shown to be strong in areas of neuropsychological and competency assessments, research, interpersonal relationships, interdisciplinary team collaboration, leadership, communication, networking, time management and facilitation. Evidence of ability to work with a high degree of independence, in initiative and compassion. Proficient with computers, relevant computer software, and competent in accessing internet resources.

 

Hours of Work:                                      75 hours bi-weekly
